After the earthquakes came the infectious rage, turning friends into deadly enemies. For survivors Michael, Aries, Mason and Clementine the battle to stay alive is about to get even tougher. The new world is organising itself, with camps that promise protection for the uninfected. But the reality of the sites is far more sinister. Besides, nobody is safe from the rage within their own soul... (from Goodreads)

Clementine was born January 8th on the highway to Des Moines. Unfortunately, she was in a hurry to get into the world and proved that, by forcing her parent’s car to the side of the road to welcome her. Luckily for them, an ambulance arrived on time so she didn't have to be born in the back of Dad's truck.

Clementine was very active in cheerleading in high school. The football team is the Glenmore Goblins! Imogene, Jan, and her spent most of their waking hours practicing new cheers. Clementine also loves to dance and is the record champion of her friends with Dance Dance Revolution. But don't let this girl fool you. She once punched Joel Brenner for trying to tip one of her neighbors' cows. Clementine doesn't stand for animal cruelty in any way, shape or form.

When Clementine was eight, her brother Heath bet her that she couldn't catch the wild rabbit they'd seen making a mess of her mother's garden. Heath and his friends had spent the past few days trying to chase the jack rabbit down but had no luck. The bet was for twenty dollars and an entire months chores. Clementine worked with her friend Imogene and the two of them got a humane rabbit trap from Henry Tills. Within a few hours, they had the rabbit trapped and Heath had no choice but to honor the bet. Since then, Heath has always said his little sister can do anything she sets her mind to because she's so darn stubborn.

Jeyn Roberts grew up in Saskatoon, Canada. She started writing at an early age, but when she was twenty-one she moved to Vancouver with dreams of being a rock star. For the next several years she played in an alternative/punk band called Missing Mile. A former singer, songwriter, actress, bicycle courier, tree planter—Jeyn graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Writing and Psychology. Shortly afterwards, she moved to England, where she received her MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. An avid traveller, she’s been around the world, including teaching in a high school in South Korea and writing novels in her flat in Vancouver. DARK INSIDE was her first book to be published.

  1. This one looks interesting...and the guy on the cover at first glance almost looks like Ryan Reynolds. Weird!

  2. She once punched Joel Brenner for trying to tip one of her neighbors' cows. Clementine doesn't stand for animal cruelty in any way, shape or form.
