In My Mailbox (#43)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren.

Was busy last Sunday so I didn't have the chance to do an IMM. This week is all the books I've accumulated over the last two weeks!

For Review:
Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin #1) by Robin LaFevers (from NetGalley)
Infamous (Chronicles of Nick #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
The Alchemy of Forever (Incarnation #1) by Avery Williams (from Bookbabblers)

Bought (got both of these for £1 each from the Waterstones World Book Day promotion):
The Name of the Star (Shades of London #1) by Maureen Johnson
Department 19 (Department 19 #1) by Will Hill

Gifts:
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer) by Michelle Hodkin
Ouran High School Host Club Vol. 1 by Bisco Hatori (already read this manga and seen the anime, but happy to own the first volume now! One of my favourite manga/animes of all time :P)
Cait from The Cait Files, being the awesome person she is, got me a £10 Amazon giftcard for my birthday, so with it, I bought:
Shooting Stars by Allison Rushby
Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer
Mercy (Mercy #1) by Rebecca Lim
Switched (Trylle Trilogy #1) by Amanda Hocking (was only 20p!)

Freebie (for Kindle):
Hollowland (The Hollows #1) by Amanda Hocking

That's my haul for the past two weeks! So much to read, so little time :P.

What did you get in your mailbox this week?

Many thanks to Cait, Sarah @ Bookbabblers, Atom, NetGalley, Waterstones and friends & family.

  4. Grace Mercy needs no words. I want to read The Alchemy of Forever at some point!

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer has been on my list forever. I want to meet Noah. Let me know if he's as smokin' as I think. The Name of the Star is sososo good. The ghosts, the Ripper, and whatnot just make this story so awesome.

I LOVE OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB. Tamaki for life, baby! He's such a cutie. And Haruhi is such a sweetie herself. I love the twins and everybody and just OH. Mega loved the anime! Have yet to read the manga, though.

Cinder is so cool! I really liked it. I think you'll like it as well, as well as Shooting Stars and Switched. I already told you my feelings on the Trylle series, but I finished the last one, Ascend, last night AND OMG *SQUEALS* I'm officially in love with this series. Don't know when it exactly it happened but I loved every moment of the third book. I'm still rereading the ending.

    Have an amazing reading week!

  18. Please tell me you have read Mara Dyer?! Mara Dyer is an amazing book and if you haven't read it yet then you need to put it on the very top of your pile!

I have read The Name of the Star and it as a good book, I thought it would have been better had the author stuck with one sort of storyline though. Throughout the book I felt like we were getting the murder mystery from the Ripper and then there was an extreme paranormal element to do with the main character which at times felt like it overpowered the Ripper cases.

I can't wait to read Cinder, I'm hoping to read that one this weekend because I love all things Cinderella!

I hope you enjoy all of the lovely books you got this week. *places Mara Dyer on the top of Liz's TBR pile.* Shh, you didn't see me do that :)
